Afternoon Coffee Break.

It's kinda late but as the saying goes, better late than never right?

Out of sight, out of mind. I always forget to remind the girls downstairs to put up the X'mas tree. I think we've completely forgot about it last year. Luckily I went into the storage room today to grab something & noticed the X'mas tree this morning.

So during my afternoon coffee break, my coworker & I put up the tree together. If our tree looks a bit pitiful, that's bc it is. Over the years the ornaments somehow gotten broken, and with what leftovers we had we've only decorated the front. Please don't judge, or look at the back of our tree. Haha

I've done a million things easier

Than shopping online for a frickin' rice container! I had to do all sorts of math & conversion (in case u double check my math, I've rounded everything down) to figure out what size I need!

I'm in the market for an airtight sealing rice container/bin. Our existing storage solution isn't quite working out bc we discovered rice weevils (rice eating beetles)! It's quite gross and I need to find another way to safely store our rice in our already super cramped kitchen!

The Vapur water bottle/bags are a lot bigger than I'd imagined it to be. I actually got these for daddy since he likes to carry drinking water around when he's in HK in his man purse.

Yep, I said man purse. Most guys carry man purses are quite the thing in asia since their main means of transportation are public. So most ppl don't have the luxury of leaving things, such as water bottles, in their car.

I initially spotted this on Amazon a few months ago but was reluctant to spend $120 bucks on it, considering it's only 500GB and I can easily find a 1TB for that price or lower. However, the robot design is an Amazon exclusive which made me want it more! To my surprise when I was browsing thru Amazon the other nite (I frickin' love Amazon, too!), I found the same external hard drive for 58% off! I didn't actually order it until this morning since I get free two-day shipping, I wanted to make sure it arrives on Friday so I'll be here at work for my order to come in. Yayyyy :D

I can't stress enough of the importance of backing up on a regular basis. I'm always paranoid that my computers will crash, as I've seen real experiences from family members and friends. I always make it a habit to back up every so often, and I save all my school related documents on thumb drives so it'll be easier to access when I'm on campus or at home.

If you're in the market for a new external drive, you should definitely check out this LE Amazon exclusive robot design from Western Digital external hard drive. An 500GB external drive for $50 is definitely a steal. You should hurry though, this offer expires on December 19th!

in my household, we love mak kimchi! i make a new batch every few months because we go thru it pretty quickly and all my friends love eating it too. I prefer letting it ferment so it'll be tart and spicy. I eat it as a side dish or use it to make mostly kimchi chigae which makes a fabulous quick weekday dinner.

Recipes for kimchi chigae is available from Maagnchi who also has a youtube channel, providing video instructions on how to cook. You can also check out Korean Cuisine's kimchi chigae version one and kimchi chigae version two. I usually make a hybrid of those recipes and tweak it to my liking.
